I must admit, I was a just a little nervous starting out with Alabama for The State of Design series. I don’t know much about Alabama, but know from experience that you can find excellent design in the most surprising of places. With this in mind, I went to my starting point, Etsy, to look for inspiration.
The initial results were a little concerning. I’m not sure how a handmade quilt is modern, but I suspect Etsy doesn’t review every tag for every item. However, I soon started finding some brilliant modern design from this lovely little state.
I hope you find these designers as inspiring as I do, but feel free to let me know if you think we should add an Alabama designer into the mix.
