About Lizard Press

My work is about the marriage of grided structure and organic forms. This constrained disorder is often expressed in the details and subtle interactions of the final printed piece.

I am drawn to the beauty of the tones and textures of the letterpress. The letterpress process accents my work in multi-layers, reflecting the multiple layers and facets of life. Some layers are intentionally present, some are chosen for their organic interaction, and some are emboldened by the nature of the press.

Each of my projects incorporate a mystery that I want to solve on the press, pushing the boundaries of what would be termed the “typical” letterpress. Whether it is the impact of a new paper, or the intertwining of overlapping colors, or the interaction of different wood type textures, I use the letterpress as a mode of exploring experimental processes that are unreachable through digital means.

about the calendar
This 2012 calendar is a collection of my original flora and fauna illustrations. It is rich in color and layered graphics. Brighten your desk or cube, or give as a gift!

Professionally digitally printed on 100 lb matte white recycled cover stock. Each calendar contains 12 unbound colorful sheets that are packaged in a clear plastic jewel case that folds back to create a stand. You can also frame the 12 sheets for a bright year at a glance wall calendar. Measures ~4.75″ x 5.5″ with case. Packaged in a cello sleeve.

About Canopy Verde:

For Canopy Verde founder Linda Wong, her interest in living green started at a young age. As the child of traditional Chinese parents, she learned never to waste—and could often be seen sporting her brother’s hand-me-downs to school. This “waste-not” attitude continued through high school in Taipei, where she insisted friends use fewer plastic bags when they shopped and earned her the nickname “bag police.”

After settling in the U.S., Linda’s bag fixation evolved to include bags of a different variety and led to stints at Cole Haan and Fila. There she learned the nuts and bolts (and straps and buttons) of bag construction and design. After managing the accessories category for seven seasons at Fila, Linda felt the time was right to launch her own brand of handbags – one that reflected her “modern meets earth-friendly” philosophy.
